Alaska Fishing Report 06/10/11

This morning we met our anglers at 5 am and headed out to fish the Deshka River.
Our anglers had quite a few bites but only 2 were lucky enough to bring the King Salmon in.
The first lucky angler of the day hooked onto this 25 pound King Salmon and the fight was on.
Who would of thought this was her first time fishing for King Salmon in Alaska. She held on to that rod like a pro and without hesitation started reeling to the bring this fish in. This fish put up one heck of a fight, but after the fight was over, ANGLER WON!!! Anne not only looked like a pro bringing in this fish, she held her composure pretty good, even though we knew, deep down inside, she wanted to scream, yell and jump up and down about how excited she was!

Our second lucky angler handled his fish like a pro also. He had went out with us yesterday, but did not have the luck he had today. This chrome bright beauty was caught while drifting salmon roe. This King Salmon weighted in about 20 pounds and was well worth the fight it put up. This fish ran up and down river, and then again, ANGLER WON!!

And then there is our afternoon trip!
Well, the afternoon bite was OFF THE HOOK!!!
With such a slow start this morning, with only 2 fish landed, who would of thought that the afternoon would produce such a great catch.
Pictures are worth a 1,000 words. Enjoy the book....
