Alaska Fishing Report 06/14/11

Today we met our anglers early this morning and
headed out to fish the Deshka River.
Our anglers floated bait and threw spinners.
Our first fish was caught shortly after we started fishing.
It was about a 25 pound King Salmon.
The angler, knowing he had to stop fishing after he kept it,
decided to release it and fish some more.
Well, we know how that goes.
A bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush.
Our other 2 anglers had their fish by 9:30 am.
These fish, today, weighed around 22-28 pounds.

Our afternoon trip was also a success.
The fish, this afternoon were caught trolling spinners.
They weighed roughly between 18-40 pounds.
The bigger fish ran a few times and the angler battled this fish for about 15 minutes and angler won!!
