With over 30 years experience, Lead Fishing Guide Ray Blodgett and his Coast Guard-licensed crew, feel privileged to have been able to spend decades becoming familiar with three of the most fertile salmon fishing rivers in the world; the Little Susitna River, the Deshka River and the Talkeetna River, all located in the Matanuska Valley of south central Alaska. They know where to go! They know where the seasonal hot spots are and how to safely get you there. And every day that Fisherman’s Choice Charters is fishing on one or more of these pristine waterways, a complete and accurate fishing report will be provided to our clients. . Alaska Fishing Report 05/27/11

We met 6 anglers this morning at the Little Susitna Public Use Facility Launch Ramp. Within the first 30 minutes Reeves got this 25 pound Alaska King Salmon. It took him 15 minutes to bring this chrome bright fish. This fish was so fresh it was still loaded with sea lice.

Our other successful angler had never fished before in her life. Shimone was the other lucky angler that was able to bring in this 20 pound King Salmon. She fought this hog for about 10 minutes and did a fine job for her first time fishing. What a fish to break the ice on!!

The weather was just fantastic. We have been having great weather, decent fishing, not to mention wild life scenery just about every mile on the Little Susitna River.
