With over 30 years experience, Lead Fishing Guide Ray Blodgett and his Coast Guard-licensed crew, feel privileged to have been able to spend decades becoming familiar with three of the most fertile salmon fishing rivers in the world; the Little Susitna River, the Deshka River and the Talkeetna River, all located in the Matanuska Valley of south central Alaska. They know where to go! They know where the seasonal hot spots are and how to safely get you there. And every day that Fisherman’s Choice Charters is fishing on one or more of these pristine waterways, a complete and accurate fishing report will be provided to our clients. . Alaska Fishing report 05/13/11

We met at the Talkeetna launch, this morning and the weather was fantastic.
The skies were deep blue and there was hardly any wind on the river.
Mount McKinley AKA Denali was standing proud for us.
We took 4 anglers with us this morning.
1 was fly fishing and 3 were using spinning gear.
Dolly varden and rainbow trout were chewing up the blue vibrax and hitting leeches and flies.
They were averaging 1-3 pounds, 15-22 inches.
And the girls were kicken butt against the guys!

It was a great day on the water!
